Role Description:
Reporting directly to the Lead Civil Works & Structure Manager, this role is crucial for both the design and implementation phases of the Clinker Line project at the Obourg plant. The successful candidate will support and implement civil engineering aspects critical to the production facilities and supporting infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Civil Works & Structure Manager in overseeing the civil engineering and structural aspects of the Clinker Line project, from the initial design phase through to construction, ensuring all structures are up to project specifications, as well as local and international regulations.
- Participate in the bidding phase to help select appropriate contractors and oversee the management of construction documents (such as calculation notes and drawings) and material compliance.
- Assist in managing the construction of critical infrastructure, including new production lines and the upgrading of existing facilities, ensuring they meet operational and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in civil/structural engineering and construction management, particularly in large-scale industrial projects involving significant upgrades and new construction.
- Strong expertise in managing the construction of industrial facilities and associated infrastructure, knowledge of cement industry is an asset.
